Make the rest the best!
Just the two of us againThis great book isn't just for couples who have a truly empty nest. Many midlife couples today find that their nests get refilled with boomerang adult kids, aging parents, visits from kids and grandkids, or grandkids on a full time basis.
I liked the section on how to learn about the danger signs of behaviors that can lead couples who have been married for decades to the divorce court. There is also good information on the major issues that midlife couples need to deal with in order to have a strong marriage.

this is the best book ever
Learn the unspeakable truth hidden in Russian folkloreIt starts with a beautiful portrayal of a Jewish Boy growing up in Russia, moves to some gritty "it-sounded-good-in-theory" fantasy, which in turns alternates with fairy-tale fantasy. The fairy-tales are appropriately Russian, and along the way the truth behind many classical Russian folklore stories is revealed.
Yes, it's as funny as it sounds.
Add to that great Orson Card characters, and the strength his moral believes often lend to his books, and you get what would have been considered a masterpiece if written by anyone else. I haven't read his biblical series, but it compares well to his terrific "Hart's Hope" fantasy, blows his horror books out of the water, and is at least on par with his SF.
I can't believe no one noticed this book, maybe because it's mostly fantasy. Highly recommended, even to those who think they only like Card for his SF.

Packed With Knowledge!
NOTHING IS AS PRACTICAL AS A GOOD THEORYBased on a clear and consistent methodology, the End of Change is in the end a very practical book - about people. Although this well structured book contains a lot of easy to be remembered slides and presentations - common in Strategy Consulting nowadays - its strenghts can also be found in its aforisms, examples and methaphors.
Besides other sources (not the least being the year long consulting experience of its authors), the End of Change further builts on Peter Scott Morgan's, "The unwritten Rules of the Game". The basic concepts of the End of Change enable the reader to deepen his insight in the dynamics of change in general - while giving him the opportunity to apply these to his own personal experiences and areas of business life which have been to much neglected in periods of serious change (for example, amongst many others, Recruting & HR policies)
For those who are interested how changing business environments effect our daily lives, this book is a " Must-Read".

Interesting!

Software Process BibleMost organizations have lots of forms, but invariably lack a clearly articulated software process (that is easy to follow!).
This book is an excellent desk reference and should be the bible for any IT Manager.

A great gift for a freind about to walk down the isle.It also gives some truly funny marriage advice like don't get so much life insurance that "you're worth more to them dead than alive....seriously watch your back."
So if you like the droll sensibilities of the editors Esquire Magazine and you're even remotely thinking of getting married, but this book. Think of it this way, even if you call off the wedding, this book is will still give you a few guffaws.

What are we going to do this summer?!!?
This book is the best of the best. It is the best of the book The Second Half of Marriage by David and Claudia Arp in which they identify eight challenges every marriage in the second half faces. And, it is the best of the strategies and techniques of the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) developed by Stanley, Markman, and Blumberg. Not only do the authors suggest powerful, yet simple, ways couples can upgrade their communication and conflict resolution skills, they also stress the importance of building couple friendship, having fun, becoming empty nest lovers, and keeping the relationship strong.
